editis there moer information on alcester raod? e.g waht kind of road it is? where is it sitauted in birmingham? the type of houses on the road? what area is it in and a description of the area? i.e ethnic groups?
Orbital Motorway
editBirmingham Outer Ring Road currently redirects here, but several of the links to that (including from here) are intended to refer to those parts of the M5/M6/M42 forming a ring around Birmingham. (I see that Birmingham Outer Ring Road used to refer to the motorway ring, but was changed to redirect here because external sources use that name for the A4040 and not for the motorway ring.) - I've changed the one link from the M5 page to not use Birmingham Outer Ring Road and removed a contradiction on the A4540 page and the problem has now gone away. Looks like describing the M5/M6/M42 as the "outer ring road" was the work of an IP editor in 2012 with no basis in reality. Jeni (talk) 11:49, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
Removing redirect to A roads in Zone 4 of the Great Britain numbering scheme
editHello reader, I hope this finds you well. I was wondering if you agree with me by removing the redirect to A roads in Zone 4 of the Great Britain numbering scheme. This is because when Ritchie333 redirected the page in February 2018 (6½ years ago), no edit summary was left by the editor regarding their reasoning behind redirecting this article. Furthermore, like JMF stated over at the A508 road talk page in May 2023, unless there is an overall proposal to delete all three- and four-figure A-class roads (which is unlikely), it is not obvious what singles the A508 out for special treatment
, and the same things applies to the A4040 - due to the two reasons I just stated, I cannot see what singles out the A4040 or A508 for special treatment, compared with other roads articles in the United Kingdom and worldwide, as quite a lot of those articles have either no references or less than five. If I don't hear anything back in the next few days, then I will more than likely remove the redirect. Regards, Roads4117 (talk) 12:10, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
