- Examples of not a-paracompact spaces are given in: Francisco Gallego Lupiañez (2006), "On Covering Properties", Mathematische Nachrichten Volume 141, Issue 1, pp. 37–43. I haven't checked this, but perhaps the Alexandroff line is also not a-paracompact.
