A tag has been placed on 61st Naval Infantry Brigade (Russia) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Contested deletion
editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because...
- this is one of the two Russian ground forces stationed closest to the Norwegian border. --86.62.129.53 (talk) 17:45, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- Matches Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Notability guide criteria: Higher level land forces command formations, such as [..], brigades, [..]. --VoidWanderer (talk) 18:54, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
Contested deletion
editIt's something to build upon. Lets keep it as it has been active in Syria as well.Fury 1991 (talk) 19:39, 24 February 2017 (UTC)Don Brunett
It meets the criteria
edit...for notability, as stated by VoidWanderer. I don't understand why it should be eligible for any kind of deletion, much less speedy. And the "Contest this speedy deletion" button seems to be missing. Gog the Mild (talk) 16:30, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
Dmitry Safronov
editDifferent online sources list him as Commander of the brigade or Commander of brigade's marine battalion. Since he was Lieutenant Colonel, the latter seems more probable. Furthermore, ru:61-я_отдельная_бригада_морской_пехоты lists a different commander. --134.76.2.20 (talk) 21:52, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
