Oil Spill photo
editIs the photo of the oil spill an important addition in terms of describing 47th Street to general readers?Hammerdrill (talk) 18:48, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- No; I have removed it. Epicgenius (talk) 12:55, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
Yiddish text
edit@Michael Bednarek: Where are you seeing the error "code: yid promoted to code: yi"? I don't see it on the page in the old version. Does it work if you use "yi" instead of "yid"? (That's the ISO 639-1 code rather than the ISO 639-2, according to Yiddish.) -- Beland (talk) 19:20, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- User:Epicgenius has now fixed this, although I'm surprised by the resulting small font size of "mazel und brucha". I would also like to restore an explanation what "brucha" means. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 02:48, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
- I added the translation (which is available in the same source as the original text). I also changed the template from {{lang}} to {{transl}}, because it's not Yiddish text, which is usually written using the Hebrew alphabet, it's an English (or Latin alphabet) transliteration of a Yiddish phrase. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 03:51, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
