Stub?
editWhat, exactly, does the template-adder think should be expanded? I don't get it. The article covers the history of the brand through its spaces. It doesn't talk about what PA system they used, but what exactly is going to be expanded? Speak now or stop calling it a stub. Utgard Loki 13:34, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hi UL, as the "template-adder", I marked it as stub because it's short and has minimal info. I suppose it could possible pass for Start class, but it needs a ton of work - the reference is a dead link, there are several terms that could be wikified, more history (when was it founded, memorable shows, etc.), and some pics are also definitely needed. Something approaching CBGB would be a start class in my mind, but feel free to up it to that if you like. My main goal was to add the project templates. The club has been around since 1978 so I'm sure there are plenty of documented stories about the place that could spruce this article up a good bit as well. My $.02, take it for what it's worth. --Roswell native 19:23, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Well, the founding is pretty well documented in the narrative, which is from the club's own website. I didn't know the link was dead, since I was there not two weeks ago. Pictures... I have pictures of the uptown version, which is the glitziest period of the club. The main existence for purists is the one it has now -- a true hole in the wall. Memorable shows.... The problem is that there are thousands. Honestly. REM performing as "Hornets Attack Victor Mature's Face?" Love Tractor performing as "Wheel of Cheese?" B-52's? Pylon at any one of a dozen shows? The premiere of a half dozen bands that made a splash? Picking out a riot or a major event is difficult. Unlike, for example, 688 in Atlanta, which was opened by Iggy Pop playing every night for a week, there isn't a single defining "big show." I don't think there is much wikification, though. If I get to Athens again, I'll snap some shots of it in its current state, but that won't be its Important Years. As for those, the pictures are generally proprietary. I suppose we could "fair use" one, but I hate doing that. Utgard Loki 12:42, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

- Fixed. I was suspicious of those additions. They seemed awfully chatty and inside. Utgard Loki (talk) 19:31, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
