Converted to FB-111 medium bombers in 1971. Commenced F111 strategic bombardment mission in Jul. 1971 and FB-111 combat crew training in Aug. 1971. Won the SAC bombing and navigation competition, and Fairchild Trophy, in 1974, 1976, and 1977.
