Parliament at Dissolution

The seat count for the 34th Parliament at Dissolution does not add up.

79 Liberals + 151 Prog-Con + 43 NDP + 8 BQ + 1 Reform + 3 independents = 285. If these numbers are correct, there were 10 vacancies at dissolution, not 4. Please verify. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.96.146.102 (talk) 17:26, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

There is no chart to show standings changes through the life of this Parliament. I've worked out the changes, although some dates are uncertain.

c Aug 1989 - 167 PC, 1 vacancy (depending on resignation date of R Grise)

16-Sep-1989 - 82 Lib, 2 vacancies

1-Feb-1990 - 42 NDP, 3 vacancies

12-Feb-1990 - 43 NDP, 2 vacancies

5-May-1990 - 160 PC, 80 Lib, 43 NDP, 9 BQ, 1 Ref, 2 vacancies

6-Jul-1990 - 79 Lib, 3 vacancies

13-Aug-1990 - 10 BQ, 44 NDP, 1 vacancy

24-Sep-1990 - 78 Lib
