- Ernie - could you pls provide page numbers for the references to aid in looking up the information in the proposed source? Thanks again. Anotherclown (talk) 10:16, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
- BTW I've worked most of this material into the article now; however, some of it still needs a citation. Could you pls add this? Anotherclown (talk) 11:58, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
Apologies for adding the suggested changes to the "article" and not to "Talk". The two books on the 33rd Regiment have the following ISBN numbers : 2014 - 9780975035052 ; and 2017 - 9780975035061. Add the "free-to-read" on the Internet references if you wish eg 2014 - http://www.scribd.com/doc/217396459 ; and 2017: https://www.scribd.com/document/346613212. The books were "non-commercial" - ie all printed copies were "complimentary". The 2014 book is my text, and the 2017 book is a translation of the 33rd Regiment's mid-2016 published history with my detailed comments and my four annexes. For 33rd Regiment at Plei Me, Ia Drang - see 2014: pp.7-27 including maps; and 2017: pp.17-36. On 33rd Regiment casualties, the references are 2014 - pp.120-121 and Appendix 9; and 2017 - Annex F pp.151-159 (covering all engagements). You might wish to add a footnote referencing the Battle of Binh Ba - ie Chamberlain 2014 pp.60-84,and Appendices 9, 21 and 22 (that includes the Australian SIGINT maps); Chamberlain 2017 pp.49-55 and Annex F. For the Battle of Nui Le in September 1971 (ie with increasing Australian veteran interest due to the upcoming 50th anniversary), the respective references are: Chamberlain 2014 pp.88-103; and Chamberlain 2017 pp.64-65 and Annexes B, G, and H. My apologies for not inserting the foregoing directly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ernieacorn (talk • contribs) 23:39, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks again Ernie. Also is there are reference for this sentence: "In the South, the 33rd Regiment was subordinate to the 304th Division/B3 Front in the Central Highlands, and later under Military Region 7 and the 5th Division in Bien Hoa, Long Khanh, and Phuoc Tuy Province, and its strength averaged about 1,300 men."?
