In general, the wording of the second paragraph is mostly, but not completely accurate, however, the paragraph is without attribution. Thus, the intent of this post is to provide more detailed information from approximately early November 1990 to 11 October 1991.

Suggested Second Paragraph: In November 1990, the 25th Division Support Commander (DISCOM) Commander informed the 25th Medical Battalion Commander that the 25th Medical Battalion (Med Bn) would command a Multifunctional combat service support (MCSS) task force (TF) supporting the 2nd Infantry (Warrior) Brigade, 25th Infantry Division’s Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) 91-5 rotation at Fort Chaffee Arkansas. The DISCOM commander also indicated the 2nd Forward Support Coordinator (FASCO), 25th DISCOM, along the FASCO Staff, would support the multifunctional task force.[1] The MCSS TF consisted of Bravo Company, 25th Supply and Transport (S&T) Battalion, Bravo Company, 725th Main Support Battalion (MSB), Charlie Company, 25th Med Bn and battalion staff consisting of an amalgamation of 25th Med Bn and 2d FASCO staff. The units were task organized and designated the 225th FSB with Bravo Command 25th S&T becoming Headquarters and Alpha Company, Charlie Company 25th Med Bn becoming Bravo Company and Bravo Company 725th FSB becoming Charlie Company.[2] The MCSS task force trained and deployed with the 2nd (Warrior) Brigade for JRTC 91-5 in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. Upon returning to Hawaii, the MCSS TF officially became the 225th FSB (Provisional) on 17 May 1991 when the 25th DISCOM reorganized into multifunctional CSS battalions. During reorganization ceremony and at the first change of command on 11 October 1991, the 225th FSB (Provisional) colors were Blue, because the official Buff and Scarlet colors were not yet available.[3] The official activation ceremony occurred on 27 April 1992.
