Notability

edit

Does this article has the right to exist? because I think it doesn't.

shellings between israel and other bodies happen quite frequently and is actually not that rare (As long as there is a situation of an operation or an acute counter-reaction that develops into a conflict or the deterioration of relations between the two bodies).

Such shellings also occurred in 23/02/23 between gaza and israel and 05/04/23 between gaza and israel and didn't got an article. אקסינו (talk) 15:51, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

It’s probably because this event has become the largest escalation between Lebanon and Israel ever since 2006 I’m assuming John67373 (talk) 08:51, 9 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Largest? it's just few rockets from Hezbollah which is not even Lebanon biggest party, just a terror organization provocations in response to the pogrom on the Temple Mount.
Israel is one of the most conflicted countries in the world, every few weeks something that "has never occurred before" occurs (attacks from new organizations etc..) אקסינו (talk) 19:16, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Israel also committed UNIFIL violation

edit

They targeted the missile infrastructure without lebanon's permission, which they announced beford that the weapons "katyusha and grad" will be dismantled by its army,so that means it's a violation against the UN chart and a violation which a country hits another country in purpose of destroying an individual's weapon CuboidalBrake06 (talk) 04:29, 7 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

edit

I propose merging 2023 Israel–Lebanon shellings into 2023 Al-Aqsa clashes. Limited action and finished the same day. The article in this case is mostly a reactions section and infobox. It lacks the proper context to know how notable it is. Merging is the best solution. Sakiv (talk) 20:29, 9 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. It should be merged. 119.158.111.155 (talk) 03:46, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
No. Different day, different events. Merging these would create an unintelligible word soup. Iskandar323 (talk) 10:56, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Disagree. The events are clearly separate and merit separate articles. A merger would be too long and too broad to read. DBA78 (talk) 19:01, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
You are wrong, the rocket fire came because of the al aqsa mosque attack, it was a response you should also add the syrian rocket fire to the al aqsa attack, it was a collective 3 front reaponse from the axis of resistance. 85.76.10.48 (talk) 13:33, 13 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oppose The clashes in Lebanon are significant enough to require its own article despite the two events being closely connected. Ecrusized (talk) 11:09, 14 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oppose: Both are separate events with distinct causes and consequences. While they may be connected in some ways, merging them into a single article would result in a confusing and disorganized presentation of the information. Each event deserves its own article that can provide a clear and comprehensive account of what happened, why it happened, and what the implications are. Merging the articles would not serve the interests of readers who want to understand each event on its own terms.Ainty Painty (talk) 17:59, 20 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
