editCurrently, I feel that this event doesn't meet Wikipedia:Notability, especially with 0 casualties. {Unsigned by Agnimandur.}
- @Agnimandur:, I said that exact thing on the draft comment section (See the section right under the afc submission. Bkissin and me both commented). There is no question that the earthquake info is notable for Wikipedia, but I don't see it notable as a stand-alone draft. Elijahandskip (talk) 23:44, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Elijahandskip: Hello, I just came across this draft and just wanted to let you know that this earthquake has resulted in two fatalities, so it is notable. However, this draft needs more information to expand on so it can be in the mainspace. Dora the Axe-plorer (talk) 23:49, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Dora the Axe-plorer:, In all reality, fatalities have no impact on notability. I watched something with 4 deaths be deleted and something with 1 death be kept in Afd's. In general, casualties don't really make this notable as a stand-alone article. Don't get me wrong. It is 100% notable for Wikipedia, but probably in List of earthquakes in 2021#April, where it already has a section. Elijahandskip (talk) 01:08, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Elijahandskip: It's true, I wouldn't know if this would be Afd'ed although it is unlikely since the draft is lengthy, and not a stub. I'll try to make this an article because it does appear to have notable impact. Here's the Wikipedia:Notability (earthquakes) guide for inclusion into the mainspace if you haven't seen it, it might help you. :) Dora the Axe-plorer (talk) 01:19, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
- Dora the Axe-plorer Yeah, I know about the notability guide. Trust me, I will 100% fight for inclusion in mainspace. I am that one editor who edits current event (or things from 2021), with "guns blazing". Some of the Afc editors, like BKissin actually ping me if they discover a draft current event so I can help improve it. My edits earlier (before your comment) was more of for the creator saying that I don't know if it passed the notability mark for a stand-alone article, but I would try to make it pass it. But yeah, I will 100% fight to have it be a stand alone in main space.
