Delegate count
editAP and some news organizations (including The New York Times, CNN, and Politico, for example) are reporting Biden as having won 11 delegates to Sanders' 4.
ABC, The Washington Post, Alaska Public Media, and The Green Papers, for example, are reporting Biden winning 8 delegates to Sanders' 7.
The latter appears to be more consistent with the official posting by the Alaska Democratic Party (it indicates 9 delegates for Biden and 8 for Sanders, which appears to include one alternate for each).
On the one hand, the official source suggests the the delegate counts be changed. On the other hand, AP may be correct, if Sanders suspending his campaign prevents him from gaining statewide delegates. I'm not sure how to proceed.Gambling8nt (talk) 06:09, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
- The consensus seems to be 8-7. Including the 2 alternates (as the party site does) is not the norm.173.73.45.246 (talk) 12:32, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Heard more from those tracking this. Just like all of Sanders' statewide delegates, he's going to lose them eventually. But he has them for now....173.73.45.246 (talk) 15:05, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- The Alaska Dem. Party's count has never changed. And Sanders suspended his campaign but has not dropped out (despite repeated misreporting from the media), which is why he gets 7 instead of only 4. He's still an active ballot choice. The others in the media seem to be going under the false assumption that Sanders dropped out (he didn't). SalvadorZombie (talk) 17:51, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
