Merge?
edit- 2019 Shiraz flood started 15:13, 26 March 2019 @Jayron32:
- 2019 Iran floods started 20:26, 26 March 2019 @Modesikuwasi: ←Created page with 'On 25 March 2019 flash floods following heavy rains in Southwestern Iran in the vicinity of the city of Shiraz killed at least 21 people and injured at l...' thank
- Do we need 2 articles? Note that death toll is now 44 https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20190328-death-toll-from-iran-flooding-rises-to-44-say-officials/ (and certain to rise). In ictu oculi (talk) 07:57, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- We could probably also merge in March 2019 North Iran Floods. I'm cool with merging all 3 to one article. --Jayron32 10:44, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
POV check
editThis article has focused on political aspect of the issue and neglected whatever has been done to control the floods, reduce their damages and decisions to compensate the costs for the people by the government and the other institute such as Helal Ahmar.--Seyyed(t-c) 01:10, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
Introduction is lengthy
editThe introduction is messy and long. It should be split up into paragraphs, with some details moved under subheadings. 84percent (talk) 01:45, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
- I will summarize it.--Seyyed(t-c) 04:48, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
- I tried to make it better. However, in your view which part should be summarized?--Seyyed(t-c) 11:50, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
Protests
editThe news does not support by reliable source and it can not stand in the article just with ANF news. More RS is needed for this claim.Hispring (talk) 07:22, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Modesikuwasi: why do you revert the edit with no adding RS or presenting any explanation in edit summary?Hispring (talk) 07:16, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
Damages table
editI added a deaths and damages table. I found another source with some figures on agricultural damages, but I don't believe these are reliable. For example, it says Aqqala sustained about 160 trillion tomans of damage. A toman is 10 Rial, and I tried converting that figure to USD; the result is almost $38 billion USD for one city alone. Meanwhile, the highest estimates I've seen for agricultural damage are up to $5 billion USD. I therefore chose not to add any of these figures to the table. 2607:FEA8:1DE0:7B4:9066:9FF2:EE64:7319 (talk) 07:38, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
- Why do you add material from sources that you don't sure it is reliable or not? Anyway, I cannot find it here so it seems to be unreliable. @Sa.vakilian: the "irannewswire" source is used 6 times in the article, do you agree to remove material sourced with that?Hispring (talk) 09:55, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, I think fringe and unreliable reports should not be added to the table.--Seyyed(t-c) 03:24, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks, I replaced "iran news wire" which include fringe and unreliable reports with Tasnim in the table and also removed it from the article but just source not sentences and tag citation need. Some sentence needs to investigate such as the death of 150 people in Shiraz! As soon as possible I am going to find another source or truth.Hispring (talk) 08:09, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
