Separate page for men's and women's tournaments
edit@Argemiro1975: I separated the tournaments of the men and women to there own articles. (2018 Men's World University Handball Championship & 2018 Women's World University Handball Championship) Because if there is only one page the page is really long and with two pages it's simpler to link from other pages. Furthermore, older tournaments were not placed at the same location and we have to create for this years separate articles. So I think we should create for every year a men's and women's tournament page. Is this suitable for you if yes I will undid your Undid revision. --Malo95 (talk) 16:53, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
- Dear Malo95, first of all thank you for the work you've done in the World University Handball Championship page. that being said, i only revertd your edit in this page because i feel there's not enough notability to have two different pages, but if you think otherwise feel free to revert my edit. I only have one more point in these pages, i realy think the better names for the two pages you create are "2018 World University Handball Championship – Men's tournament" and "2018 World University Handball Championship – Women's tournament", as have been done in similar pages. - @Argemiro1975: Thank you for your answer. With the name there are three possibilities:
- 2018 World University Men's/Women's Handball Championship (Like: IHF World Men's Handball Championship & European Men's Handball Championship) Official for WUHC: 1998, 2000 & 2002 maybe more.
- 2018 Men's/Women's World University Handball Championship (I named the pages like this)
- 2018 World University Handball Championship – Men's/Women's tournament (Like: Handball at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament) (Your suggestion)
- I think we shout name the pages like the first version because the World and European Championship are named like that and the FISU titled some championship like that version. What do you think--Malo95 (talk) 08:50, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Malo95: Well, dear Malo95, i do think the better option for this tournament is to name it as the official website name it [1] 2018 FISU World University Handball Championship as we can see in the link, or we can short it excluding the FISU word, as the first option you wrote about, in 1998, 2000 and 2002 the men's and women's championships were held in different countries as we can see in this link [2] but after that every tournament were made in the same dates and cities, so thats why we shouldn't do like European and world champioships who are held in different dates and places for men's and women's Argemiro1975 (talk) 16:18, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Argemiro1975: I wouldn't take the name "FISU" in to the title because all pages related to the WUCs at Wikipedia have no FISU... in the title. Furthermore, only the 2018 version has the FISU in the title at the webpage, for example the 2014 & 2016 version haven't it.
- And for separation discussion: the Olympics tournaments which were held at the same dates and cities have separate pages men & Women, the same is for Beach handball Men & Women. So I think it would be better to separate the articles because of the length of the pages and for the harmonization of the handball articles.--Malo95 (talk) 16:00, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
