Lake depth exaggerated!

edit

The lake is not very deep, only about six meters and the wreck is clearly visible underwater [1], some parts even stick out to the surface. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.83.18.0 (talk) 20:41, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you provide a source then it can be updated, until then we have reliable sources to the contrary. RaseaC (talk) 01:08, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Besides that the lake is 30.4 km at it's maximum length. The boat was only 200m from the shore. The fact that the place where the ferry sunk is shallow (which we do in fact mention although I don't know whether we did when the OP made the comment) doesn't mean the lake is shallow. Our article on the lake also supports a maximum depth of 288m. Nil Einne (talk) 10:09, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
I think we should remove the maximum depth of the lake. At least until a seperate topology section is provided about the lake, or until we can provide the explicit depth that the wreck happened on. As it stands we give a bit too much weight to the depth of 288m. Taemyr (talk) 11:16, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

We've cited a source that says 288, so 288 it remains until there is a source to the cotrary. RaseaC (talk) 14:40, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

International reaction?

edit

Shall we round up sources to create a part regarding international reaction? IJA (talk) 21:32, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
