editGenerally the storm histories should be made a little more detailed. A couple of them don't even have dates given. — jdorje (talk) 08:10, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- I think the only thing the Danielle and Earl need is the dates and their references. Earl stayed out to sea and Danielle was a minimal tropical storm. juan andrés 03:00, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- I added more information to tropical storm Danielle, I hope you like it. If you don't like it, please modify it without mercy. juan andrés 03:24, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, added forgotten information about the formation as a tropical depression. juan andrés 03:31, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- Good work. Make sure to check your spelling. And don't use <ref> unless there's a <reference> section already in the article...just use inline links. — jdorje (talk) 03:37, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- Finished Earl report. Dates added. juan andrés 23:25, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

editUGHHH!, this is ridiculous!, why put a tcexpand banner if no one talks about it, all it does it just clutters up the seasonal article and degrades it, im removing this banner. Storm05 18:07, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- THERE IS NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT. The section needs to be expanded. That's all. — jdorje (talk) 20:19, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, I added more information to the section of Earl, but if the article needs more info, what can we do? It's an article, and naturally, needs to be improved every day. Everybody can say that banners are horrible in an article, but when article is need to be improved, they are very necessary. So I can't take out the banner until the section gets improved. juan andrés 19:54, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree. You added enough, and it doesn't need to be improved any more. Good work. I removed the expand banner. Hurricanehink 20:00, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- I would like to know which are the criteria for putting the categories Stub, Start, Class B, Class A and FA. I will be very thankful. juan andrés 04:00, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- The criteria haven't been discussed thorougly. You can see the criteria for pages in general at the Tropical cyclone articles by quality category. However nobody really spoke up when we were talking about them so I worked up my own tc-specific criteria when assessing them. For season articles, to be B-class it needs to have a non-stub mention of each storm. The {{tcexpand}} entries I added to some AHS season articles are because individual storms don't have enough detail. Good work improving the Earl section - I was too hasty in reverting storm05's edit (which itself concealed your change from my watchlist), and frustrated because he removed tcexpand from a number of articles simultaneously - all but this one were, I believe, unchanged from when the tcexpand was put there. — jdorje (talk) 08:48, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
Another possible storm?
editI was just looking through the archives, and this looks like a TD or a storm. Does anyone have the list of depressions from the year? Don't worry, I'm not going to add it in to the article. I was just curious if it was actually a TD. Hurricanehink (talk) 17:43, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- There's another one in late May that struck Belize and moved across Southeast Mexico during the first couple days of June. Looks like it was at least a TD. Thegreatdr 15:52, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- Good find, that does look nice. Oddly, it looked better over southeast Mexico than it did over Belize. Hurricanehink (talk) 16:14, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- There was a tropical depression known as T.D. 4.Mitchazenia 16:28, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- That occurred in August in the Gulf of Mexico, and isn't either of the aforementioned systems. Hurricanehink (talk) 16:31, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- I did a little digging and discovered that San Francisco did classify it as TD 2E after it crossed Central America. I should have something online for that system on the rainfall project within the next week or two. Thegreatdr 20:20, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, that's cool. Hurricanehink (talk) 20:22, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

That particular system has a write up on page 2510 and 2512 of this year's MWR. The EPac MWR says it was just a disturbance in the Atlantic and that it lasted 12 hours only. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 00:56, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

- Was Charley not given a number? It should be the fifth tropical depression.Potapych (talk) 15:37, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- Oy. Charley was assigned a number in real time. After consulting my database, the system previously listed as TD4 above was not assigned to be a TD until after the fact. Thegreatdr (talk) 09:08, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

editIn the last revision I edited, I found duplicate named references, i.e. references sharing the same name, but not having the same content. Please check them, as I am not able to fix them automatically :)
