Before I die, Ill review this. (ill do it tonight). :P YE Pacific Hurricane 21:34, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- "The 1949 Atlantic hurricane season was the last season that tropical cyclones were not officially named by the United States Weather Bureau.[1]" they were names then, but were not kept public. Change "offically" to "pubicALLY"
- Pubic-ally? :P--12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- Publicly works well imo.Jason Rees (talk) 03:26, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- " It was a fairly active season, featured 13 tropical storms and 5 hurricanes." to " It was a fairly active season, featuring 13 tropical storms and 5 hurricanes." YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- Fixed--12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- " nicknamed the 1949 Florida hurricane. " is this needed? YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- Fixed--12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- "seven drowning deaths on Barbados.[7] " "drowning deaths" is redundant, pick either one or the other. YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- Can I say "deaths by drowning"?--12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- "ACE is only calculated for full advisories on tropical systems at or exceeding 34 knots (39 mph, 63 km/h) " throw the knot usage of this project. Send it to USRD. YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

- "measured by Diamond Shoals Lightship while located offshore Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.[6]" put a "the" after the "by". YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- Fixed--12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- "while rainfall up to 4 inches (100 mm) was observed." abbreviate "inches" to be consistent with the rest of the article. 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- Fixed--12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- " the storm rapidly strengthened over the warm sea surface temperatures of the Gulf Stream." SST's usually can't be considered "war". However, they are "high". YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- What do you mean they can't be considered "warm"? They can be considered cold, right? Btw, you said they can't be "war", so they put be "peace" :P --12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- "strengthened to a hurricane later that day. The hurricane halted its forward motion and began to drift eastward. Continually intensifying, it became a major hurricane on September 6. The hurricane turned to the north on September 7, and after briefly weakening to a Category 2 hurricane, it re-attained major hurricane status. " you keep saying "hurricane" here. Change a few to "system", "it", or "Four". YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- Better?--12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- "the storm had completed a cyclonic loop." what's that? A revolution of my face? YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- Yes :P Actually, it's just a fancy way of saying that there was a loop in the storm's track.--12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- " 2 to 3-foot (0.91 m)" see above comments on units. YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

- "The hurricane dropped heavy rainfall of up to 13.56 inches (344 mm) in San Lorenzo, which caused flooding in several rivers in the northern portion of the island. " see above. YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

- ", after exiting the Bahamas." you just mentioned that a few sentences above. 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- No, actually in the previous sentence I mention it in, the storm was entering the Bahamas, but here, the hurricane was leaving the Bahamas.--12george1 (talk) 02:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- "Despite crossing Central America, no impact was reported in Honduras or Nicaragua" why mention it then? YE Pacific Hurricane 22:45, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
