Woldenberg Olympics

edit

Should this page be used to talk about the "Olympics" held by the prisoners held in Woldenberg, a Polish POW camp, or would there be a better page for it? Rascalb 07:07, Aug 26, 2004 (UTC)

Also, the link for the source of this, is dead, if anyone could find another one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.73.27.151 (talk) 01:23, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Was an image/logo ever created for these games?

Is there any type of main image anyone can get for this to make this look similar to the other pages of the Olympic Games?

A program cover, official logo, etc.?

I Don't think so - if you look at the image, its of Cardiff and of the Millennium Center, which was built in the 1990's

"Awarded without election"

edit

The article says that the 1948 games were awarded to London "without election". However, the page for the 1948 Summer Olympics says that there was indeed a (postal) election, and that London beat out several other cities, mostly in the United States. The citation given on the other page is the IOC's official website, and it lists 5 other "candidate cities".

What's the true story? Molinari (talk) 19:23, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
