В Службе специального контроля Минобороны РФ в честь ее основателя генерал-майора Александра Устюменко открыта мемориальная доска

Сегодня в Службе специального контроля Минобороны РФ открыта мемориальная доска в честь основателя Службы специального контроля генерал-майора Александра Устюменко, советского ученого, доктора физико-математических наук, лауреата Ленинской премии, награжденного орденами Красного знамени, Отечественной войны 1 и 2 степени, трудового Красного знамени, Красной звезды.

На открытии мемориальной доски присутствовал начальник 12-го Главного управления Минобороны РФ генерал-майор Игорь Колесников, начальник Службы специального контроля полковник Игорь Токарев, дочь генерал-майора Устюменко – Татьяна Александровна, а также ветераны 12-го Главного управления и Службы специального контроля.

Торжественные мероприятия приурочены к 60-летию со дня образования Службы специального контроля.

На сегодняшний день Служба специального контроля Министерства обороны Российской Федерации представляет собой уникальную структуру, позволяющую вести контроль за испытанием ядерного оружия и мониторинг соблюдения международных договоров об ограничении и запрещении испытаний ядерного оружия, среди приоритетных задач Службы – контроль сейсмической и радиационной обстановки на Земном шаре. I added this template because many of the sections have no citations. This stood out to me most when I was reading the Secrecy section, and then I noticed that although there are 6 references at the end, they're all attached to the Special Control Service and Structure of the 12th GU MO sections.
