Redundancy
editThe section titled Recent controversy should really be included in the New Zealand Police article and not the article on 1-1-1 as the issues relate to the performance of the NZ Police's Communications Centres that answers calls directed to Police that were placed via the 111 service. The issue is wider than the 111 service to Police and other emergency services that provide services using the 111 system are not affected by this controversy. -- Cameron Dewe 02:36, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hoax calls
editWhat is described as the first hoax call may not have been a hoax at all - more like a misunderstanding of the purpose of the number. What was the first hoax- in the sense of a fake call for assistance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.15.138 (talk) 06:27, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
