Comparison to 7.62x25 Tokarev

edit

@74.74.219.22:

While the inclusion of an alternative comparison to the 7.62x25 Tokarev cartridge (as opposed to the official competitor, 9x19 Luger) may very well be warranted, I see little value in further discussing the heritage of the Tokarev cartridge within this article. Perhaps such material is best confined to that round's own article.

Additionally, the assertion that .30 SC "might be better compared to" 7.62x25 Tokarev would benefit from a citation.

This cartridge is nothing like the 7.62x25 Tokarev, other than bullet diameter is very similar. The only comparison that would be of any value is noting its relation to .32 ACP, which is similar to the relation between 9x19mm and .380 ACP. The 38 SC is essentially a rimless .32 ACP, lengthened to that 9x19mm OAL.

.30 Super Carry is 8x21 32 ACP is 8x17 9mm is 9x19 .380ACP is 9x17 .38 special is just a short 357 Mag .44 Special is just a short 44 Mag 10MM is the same bullet as .40S&W just two millimeters longer in the casing as well. I’ve shot .380 through my 9mm pistols and I’ve shot .40 through my 10MM no issues or accuracy problems, just lighter recoiling and bad for extractors. 2601:281:D57F:38F0:FCF3:6EB2:3496:51BA (talk) 20:50, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
