Magazine?

edit

Although +972 self-describes as a "magazine", I have removed the link to online magazine since the lede of that article states: "can usually be distinguished by its approach to editorial control. Magazines typically have editors or editorial boards who review submissions and perform a quality control function to ensure that all material meets the expectations of the publishers (those investing time or money in its production) and the readership." and this is precisely what +972 does not do, at least according to this published description of its editorial process [1] and its own website: "a platform for our bloggers to share analysis, reports, ideas, images and videos on their channels. Each blogger owns his or her channel and has full rights over its contents (unless otherwise stated). The bloggers alone are responsible for the content posted on their channels; the positions expressed on individual blogs reflect those of their authors, and not +972 as a whole."

I am also removing categories that categorize it as a magazine.E.M.Gregory (talk) 21:19, 30 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Change Lead

edit

I think the Lead should be a paraphrase and summary, rather than including a quote by a co-founder. Let others describe it.Parkwells (talk) 23:20, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

SYNTH

edit

The recent addition violates SYNTH as no source makes any statement about the writers collectively. Beyond that it wouldnt belong in the lead section regardless. nableezy - 06:16, 1 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Additionally there is no source for the claim it is "radical left". nableezy - 06:17, 1 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Removing all claims that the magazine is "far left" or "radical left". I think they would not dispute claims to be "left-wing". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.249.141.188 (talk) 12:32, 21 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Editing references

edit

Currently both Reference 1 is "Leibovitz, Liel (19 January 2012). "Wake-up Call". Tablet." and Reference 6 "Liel Leibovitz (19 January 2012). "Wake-Up Call: The leftist Israeli magazine +972 wants to sound the alarm on a Jewish state it believes is destroying itself". Tablet." refer to the identical article. Perhaps they should be merged, the latter's wording being used. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcljlm (talkcontribs) 11:20, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edit summary

edit

In the summary of my 10:32 edit I wrote "Added Liel to "According to Leibovitz"". Noticing the phrase appeared twice I attempted to change that to "Added Liel to the first appearance of "According to Leibovitz"", delete it via "undo" and write a new edit summary but have been unable to do any of them. What should I have done? Mcljlm (talk) 11:32, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
