Sushma Bopanna, (born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh), is an Indian businesswoman and academician currently serving the chief executive officer and academic director at Sri Chaitanya and is a founder of Infinity Learn.[1][2]

Early life and education
editBopanna was born in Vijayawada Andhra Pradesh.[3] Her father, Dr BS Rao and her mother Dr Lakshmi Bai Rao, are the founders of Sri Chaitanya.[4][5] She did her schooling from Atkinson School in Vijayawada. Bopanna has a BTech degree from Birla Institute of Technology (BITs) Pilani and a master's degree in IT from the United States.[6]
Career
editBoppana started working in 1998 as a software developer at American Electric Power in Tulsa, Oklahoma.[7][2] Later, she worked in administrative roles at three big companies in the US. She gained a lot of experience at Williams Communications and First Health's Software Division in Phoenix, Arizona.
After living in the United States for eight years, Bopanna returned to India in 2007 and joined Sri Chaitanya's Hyderabad Office as Chief Academic Planner. Since then, she has worked in different roles there.[8]
In 2021, Bopanna co-founded Infinity Learn with Sridhar Yalamanchili. Infinity Learn provides study materials for students preparing for JEE and NEET exams.[9] In the same year, Infinity Learn acquired Teacherr, it's a platform designed for teachers[10] and Don't Memorize it's a platform that offers concept-based multilingual content.[11] Later, Infinity Learn also acquired Wizclub, a platform focused on improving children's cognitive abilities.[12] Sri Chaitnaya recently appointed Sri Leela as their brand ambassador.[13]
In April 2022 Infinity Learn launched its mobile app 'Infinity Learn' to provide personalized and interactive learning for students from classes six to 12. The app aims to assist students in preparing for exams like IIT, NEET, and CBSE board.[14][15]
In 2022 Sri Chaitanya launched a ₹1,000 crore (US$120 million) scholarship, named SCORE STEM Challenge 2022 for students in class 1 to 12.[16] In October 2023 Infinity Learn launched IL VISTA, an AI-driven program designed to help students and teachers.[17]
Achievements
editIn 2023, Sri Chaitanya achieved notable success when Mr. Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy, representing the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad zone, emerged as the top ranker in the Common Rank List (CRL).[18]
Additionally, in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2023, Sri Chaitanya witnessed further success as the All India Rank (AIR) 1 was shared by two candidates. Bora Varun Chakravarthi, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, was among the top performers in this prestigious medical entrance examination.[19]
Personal life
editBopanna is married to Y.L.V Sridhar, who serves as the Director of Finance/CFO for Sri Chaitanya Educational Institution.[20]
