History
editShiranuka Station opened on 20 July 1901.[1]
The Shiranuka Line which traveled from this station to Hokushin Station opened for service in 1964, but closed for service on 23 October 1983.[2]
With the privatization of the Japan National Railway (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido).[2]
