Shannon Alexander is an Australian-American filmmaker known for his documentary work.

Biography

Shannon Alexander grew up in Perth, Australia, where he grew up playing tennis. As a teenager his interests shifted to filmmaking and when he was 18, Alexander moved to Sydney. He did some work as a freelance video editor before moving to Melbourne, where he studied screenwriting. Alexander eventually moved to New York City in the United States.[1]

In 2017 Alexander released The Misguided, which marked his feature film directorial debut.[2] He released a documentary, Sex, Love, Misery: New New York, which looks at how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted dating in New York City.[3] A second documentary, It's Coming, was released in 2023 and centered upon a mother who believes that she has been the center of supernatural activity since she was a child.[4]
