Services Preparatory Institute (सैनिकी सेवापुव््र् शिक्षण संस्था) is a public military school in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was established in 1977 by the Government of Maharashtra to prepare students academically, mentally and physically for the UPSC NDA written exam as well as Service Selection Board (SSB) interview.

editThe cadets of SPI go to Stepping Stones High School to pursue further studies for 11th and 12th through the CBSE board. Previous batches of SPI have studied at Government Arts and Science College at Kille Ark, Aurangabad (GASCA) and Padmashree Shankar Bapu Apegaonkar English School, Aurangabad (PSBA).
In 2019, 13 SPI cadets were selected to National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy.[2]
In 2020, over 13,000 applicants in the race for 60 seats at SPI in Aurangabad.[3]
In 2020, 22 cadets from SPI in Aurangabad made it to Indian Armed Forces.[4]
In 2021, SPI got 5,779 applications for 60 seats.[5]
In 2021, 11 SPI cadets make it to NDA and INA.[6]
In 2023, 44 cadets of SPI cracked the UPSC-NDA exam.[7]
In 2024 37 out of 57 cadets of SPI 47th Course cracked UPSC NDA exam further studying for ssb interview currently
From 2023, a separate SPI for girls is established at Nashik by the Maharashtra Government. 3 out of 27 of the 1st course of the GSPI cleared the UPSC-NDA written exam
Maj. S Firasat (Retd.) is the officiating as the Director at SPI. She also handles the proceedings of GSPI at Nashik.
