A new combined middle and high school was completed in 2021, high up on a ridge, as the old school was in a tsunami zone.[4]

Academics

In 2008, 75% of the school's seniors received their high school diploma. Of 122 students, 92 graduated, 21 dropped out, 1 received a modified diploma, and 8 are still in high school.[5][6]

In 2023, 77% of the school's seniors received their high school diploma. Of 117 students, 26 dropped out.[7]
