Renu Vig is an Indian academic and professor, who currently serves as the 14th vice-chancellor of Panjab University.[1] She is the first woman vice-chancellor of Panjab University.[2][3]

Vig holds a PhD in engineering and technology in the area of artificial intelligence and neural networks. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.[4]
Career
editVig has served as dean of university instructions of Panjab University, prior to her appointment as vice-chancellor.[5] She succeeded Professor Raj Kumar who resigned from his position in January 2023.[6] She has also served as director, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University.
Awards
editVig won the N K Iyengar Memorial Prize for research paper on Fuzzy Modelling for Ignition Timing Control. She also bagged the Corps of Engineers Prize for research paper on Fuzzy Diagnostic System for Coronary Artery Disease.[7]
