Rebecca J. Sonkiss (born c. 1972) is a United States Air Force lieutenant general who serves as the deputy commander of Air Mobility Command. She served as the deputy commander of Air Force Special Operations Command and commander of the 618th Air Operations Center.[1][2]

In April 2024, Sonkiss was nominated for promotion to lieutenant general and assignment as deputy commander of Air Mobility Command.[3][4] On 24 July 2024, defense secretary Lloyd Austin announced that then-president Joe Biden had nominated to the grade of lieutenant general: "Air Force Maj. Gen. Rebecca J. Sonkiss for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Sonkiss is currently serving as deputy commander, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Florida".[5]
