I am wondering whether it is time to remove the "Sports events" link from the top of Portal:Current events. Editors watching this page may like to comment at Portal talk:Current events#Worldwide current events/Sports events. -- John of Reading (talk) 13:00, 29 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Father/Son Challenge

edit

The PNC Father/Son Challenge, while it is an unofficial event, is in fact a Champions Tour event, plus it is an event of high interest. That's why I thought it should be on the page. Johnsmith2116 (talk) 06:40, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

What happened

edit

As a sport lover I'm watching this page first. I'm not a wikipedia editor much but it's seems not much update happening anymore. 88.244.22.123 (talk) 15:56, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Current sporting seasons

edit

In the Current sporting seasons section, is the intent to list only active (ongoing) seasons, or more broadly list "timely" seasons? I ask because some listed seasons, such as European League of Football and German Football League, have already ended. I wanted to check before clearing such entries. Why is Six Nations not listed?

edit

The rugby Six Nations is a massive sporting event, it should be listed, no? TwoTrappy22 (talk) 20:26, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it is notable (especially in the UK and France, but it is also popular in some other countries). I will add this to the current sports events section in the portal. WL Pro for life (talk) 02:10, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Well, I already added it. WL Pro for life (talk) 02:14, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Adding a sidebar (to this sidebar)?

edit

Has it ever been suggested to add a navigation box to the top of this portal? Template:Year nav sports topic5 is used for 2024 in sports, it seems it could be helpful to have that or a trimmed version of it on here, too. Farolif (talk) 00:00, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
