Reception
editThe Austin Chronicle wrote "this book is less interesting as a travel book than as another entry into the McMurtry memory project brought on after the unease produced by his heart bypass surgery in the early 1990s."[2]
The New York Times called it "light book, at once sardonic, wise and insightful."[1]
Kirkus wrote "this is likely to disappoint loyal McMurtry fans."[3]
