The genus Palaemonias comprises two species[1][2] of endangered, albinistic, obligate cave shrimp:
- Alabama cave shrimp – Palaemonias alabamae Smalley, 1961
- Kentucky cave shrimp – Palaemonias ganteri Hay, 1901
