History
editThe club in its current form was founded in 1972, following the merger of the Norwich Amateur Rowing Association and Yare Club.[2] However, a Norfolk and Norwich Rowing Club existed[3] before the formation of the Yare Rowing Club in 1890[4] and Norwich Amateur Rowing Association in 1892.
The club has produced multiple British champion crews and in 2024 Samantha Redgrave won a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.[5]
