Nintendo Music is a music streaming service by Nintendo that features their video game soundtracks. The service is available for Nintendo Switch Online users, a subscription service for the Nintendo Switch video game console. Nintendo Music launched for Android and iOS on October 31, 2024.

Features
editUsers can add tracks to both curated and custom playlists. Nintendo Music also allows for extending the playback of some tracks to 15, 30, or 60 minutes.[1] The service provides three type of audio quality: data saving, balanced, and high quality.[2] It also includes a feature that allows users to hide tracks and albums to avoid spoilers.[3] The service is available for Nintendo Switch Online users, a subscription service for the Nintendo Switch video game console.[4][5]
Announcement and release
editNintendo Music was announced on October 31, 2024, and launched the same day.[6][7] The service was released in Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, and some European, North American, and South American countries for Android and iOS.[8]
Soundtracks
edit23 soundtracks from various games and consoles were made available at launch.[9] As of November 26, 2024[update], there are 28 soundtracks available and at least five forthcoming.[10]

Reception
editKyle Barr of Gizmodo called the application "surprisingly good" but criticized the small selection of music available at launch.[17] Fans, journalists, and developers criticized the app for not crediting the soundtrack composers.[18][19] Abner Li from 9to5Google noted many similarities to the YouTube Music streaming service, specifically in the application's UI.[20]
Two weeks after launch, Nintendo Music had been downloaded more than one million times.[21]
