Herman Harrison, also known as Manny Harrison, is an American musician and author.

Music

In the summer of 2020, Harrison was gifted an acoustic guitar and keyboard piano for his 12th birthday. His skill in music was slowly gained over time, as he had little true interest in perfecting the art of music performance. Already taking pride in being a self taught guitarist and pianist, Harrison also learned bass the fall of 2022 and drums the fall of 2023. Harrison also dabbled in music production, using Bandlab (a free digital audio workstation) to record original ideas on his keyboard piano.

It wasn’t until the start of his sophomore year in high school (2023), when he truly realized perfecting musical performance was what would help him unveil his true potential. Harrison began uploading MIDI music to Youtube on his channel, Mannye8, December of 2023. In the start of January of 2024 he began uploading his music as well on Spotify, Apple Music, and a variety of other music streaming platforms. Harrison claims his use of MIDI instruments is temporary, and that real life recordings of instruments will come in the future when he has recording equipment he sees fit enough.

Harrison doesn’t have a specific genre of music, though most of his music relatively falls into pop/rock. Along with composing, Harrison also writes lyrics for his songs, and though unreleased as of now, he’s said many of his lyrics hold symbolism and underlying themes.

It seems that December of 2023 was a revelating period in time for Harrison, because along with his boost in musical production and skill in December of 2023, Harrison as well began working on the production of his first novel,

REDIRECT The Tale of Naomi the Greatest Hero of Mai

and released it as an ebook June of 2024. It was recently made available as a paperback August of 2024.

Harrison has also said that The Tale of Naomi the Greatest Hero of Mai is the first of a three part series, and that he’s currently working on the second part, as well as a separate series unrelated to The Tale of Naomi the Greatest Hero of Mai, which he’s said is called Wizard Quest, and a book of poems. No information has been given on what Wizard Quest is about, nor has any information been given on the book of poems.
