Loris Konstantinos (1837–1886) was a Greek military officer, revolutionist and war hero who was born in Promyrio, Magnesia.[1][2]
Biography
editKonstantinos was born in 1837. As a military officer, he took part in the Cretan Revolution that took place between 1866 and 1869. He kept fighting as part of the liberation struggle of Greece from 1866 to 1886. As part of the struggle, he was part of the revelution of Thessaly of 1878. During that revolt, he excelled in his duty. In 1886 he took part in the battle of Koutras where he was badly wounded and later died.[1]
Death
editKonstantinos died in 1886 during the battle of Koutras, while fighting for Greece's independence from Ottoman occupation.[1]
