Political career
editIn the 2017 Czech parliamentary election, Vondráček received the most preferential votes in the fifth place among the regional candidates, which was unsuccessful for Svobodní as the party won only 1.56% of the votes.[2]
Vondráček finished second place with four mandates in the 2018 Senate election, but failed due to a situation where two veteran candidates jumped ahead of him.[3]
During the 2019 European Parliament election, Vondráček ran as a member of Svobodní in the sixth place but was not elected.[4] In 2020 regional elections, he failed to lead Svobodní in the South Bohemian Region as the party was not elected to the council.[5]
In January 2021, Vondráček called a demonstration against government measures. The speakers motivated the participants to civil disobedience by violating government regulations. Police reported the convenor to the administrative body for exceeding the permitted number of participants.[6] During the parliamentary election later that year, he was the leader of the political formation Tricolor and Svobodní in the South Bohemian Region,[7] but failed did not exceed the 5% threshold necessary to enter the Chamber of Deputies.
In the 2019 European Parliament election, Vondráček was the leader of the Svobodní candidate list.[8] However, the party received only 1.76% of the vote and he was not elected as a result.[9]
