Kulish (Ukrainian: Куліш, Russian: Кули́ш, Polish: Kulisz) is a surname of Ukrainian origin. In the Ukrainian language kulish means "millet porridge". The Russian variant of this dish, kulesh (Russian: куле́ш, lit. 'kasha, gruel') should be differentiated from kulesha[citation needed] (maize-flour porridge).
