India is a member of the South Asian Zone of the Olympic Council of Asia, and participates in the Asian Para Games. The Paralympic Committee of India is recognised by the International Paralympic Committee.[1]

Asian Para Games appearances (overview) | |
India was one of the first five founding members of the Asian Games Federation on 13 February 1949, in New Delhi. It disbanded on 26 November 1981 and was replaced by the Olympic Council of Asia.[2][3]
