Illnau is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Zurich and municipality of Illnau-Effretikon. The station, which takes its name from the village of Illnau, is located on the Effretikon to Hinwil railway line.[2]

Service
editThe station is an intermediate stop on Zurich S-Bahn service S3. During peak periods it is also served by S-Bahn service S19.[3] On weekends, there is a nighttime S-Bahn service (SN8) offered by ZVV.[4] Summary of all S-Bahn services:
- Zürich S-Bahn:
- S3: half-hourly service to Hardbrücke (or Bülach during peak hour) via Zürich HB, and to Wetzikon.
- S19: half-hourly service during peak hours to Koblenz via Zürich HB, and to Pfäffikon ZH.
- Nighttime S-Bahn (only during weekends):[5]
- SN8: hourly service to Lachen via Zürich HB, and to Pfäffikon ZH.
