Football-Club Ħamrun Amateurs is a Maltese Sports Voluntary Organisation based in Ħamrun, Malta. It is primarily recognised for its men's non-league football team, which competes in the MAFA Second Division, part of the Malta Amateur Football Association league system.

The club was founded by brothers Jürgen and Kurt Buhagiar, who jointly conceived the idea of creating an amateur football team for the community. Their vision extends beyond football, aiming to establish a broader sporting community that fosters participation in various athletic activities.
History
editThe club was founded in 2022. They played their first official match on October 1, 2022, against Fgura Spartans in the MAFA 3rd Division. The match resulted in a 2–1 defeat for Ħamrun. During the 2022–23 season, the team received the fair play award,[1] which qualified them for the Twanny Agius Fair Play Cup. In the 2023–24 season, the team played in the Christian Degabriele Memorial Cup final. The match ended in a 1–1 draw however Ħamrun were defeated on penalties. They also achieved second place in the Twanny Agius Fair Play Cup.[2] The club also won the MAFA 3rd Division that season, which was their first ever trophy and secured the team promotion to the MAFA Second Division for the first time in the club's history.[3]
