Emily Jashinsky is an American journalist and commentator.[1] Currently, she is the Washington D.C. correspondent for UnHerd, and co-hosts the weekly news show Counter Points with Ryan Grim on Breaking Points.[1][2][3]

Biography
editJashinsky is a native of Delafield, Wisconsin and is a graduate of George Washington University, studying political science and creative writing.[1][4][5][6] While at GWU, she interned at conservative think-tanks, such as the American Enterprise Institute and Badger Institute.[1][4] After college, Jashinsky became a spokesperson for the Young America's Foundation.[4][5][7]
Jashinsky began her journalism career at the Washington Examiner, covering politics as a commentary writer. [8] In 2018, she became the culture Editor for The Federalist and hosted the Federalist Radio Hour.[1][9][10] Jashinsky hosted Rising on The Hill with Ryan Grim before they both left The Hill for Breaking Points.[2][11] In 2024, Jashinsky left The Federalist and joined UnHerd to host the show Undercurrents.[2][12]
Jashinsky serves as the director of the National Journalism Center and is a visiting fellow of the Independent Women's Forum.[10][13] She was a 2021 James Madison Fellow at Hillsdale College.[1][10] She has also contributed to The Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, RealClearPolitics, Fox News Sunday, Media Buzz, The McLaughlin Group, and The Telegraph.[1][7][10][13]
