Ysabel Jurado is an American tenants' rights lawyer. A progressive member of the Democratic Party, Jurado is a candidate in the 2024 Los Angeles elections, challenging incumbent Kevin de León in Los Angeles's 14th City Council district.[1] In an upset,[2] Jurado placed first in the top-two primary, defeating California State Assemblymembers Wendy Carrillo and Miguel Santiago to advance to the general election.[3]
