Samina Bashar is a Bangladeshi drama and film actress who mostly works in Dhallywood, the Bengali-language film industry based in Dhaka. She is known for her versatile and glamorous roles in various dramas and films.

Early life and education

Samina Bashar was born on 24 June in Khulna where she also completed her schooling from. She later moved to India to pursue higher studies at Chandigarh University. Upon completing her graduation, she came back to Bangladesh and began pursuing her childhood ambition of becoming an actress in Dhallywood.

Career

Samina Bashar started her career as an actress, appearing in various television commercials, and later performing in multiple dramas and films.

These include Payra Payra Mon.[1], Banglish Babu[2], Brazil Vs Argentina Reloaded[3] and Kacha Morich[4].

She is known for her role in Operation Sundarbans, a Bangladeshi action thriller film co-written and directed by Dipankar Sengupta Dipon which was received well by the audience.[5] It also stars Riaz, Ziaul Roshan, Siam Ahmed, Taskeen Rahman, Shatabdi Wadud, Nusraat Faria, Darshana Banik and Manoj Pramanik. It was released on 23 September 2022[6]

She is currently working on a web series called Bad Ass which is directed by Mabrur Rashid Bannah.
