Narinder Kaur (born 23 December 1996).[1] is an Indian field hockey player (No. W-069)[2]. She represented Senior Indian Women's Hockey Team from 2014 to 2017[3][4]. She plays as a striker.
She is a prodigy of Dronacharya Awardee famous hockey coach S. Baldev Singh[5] and learnt Hockey in Shahbad, a town in Kurukshetra District of Haryana[6].
Narinder Kaur has studied from Malwa College of Physical Education, Bathinda and won a gold medal in the All-India Inter-University meet in 2016.[7]. While studying at Malwa College, she was selected to represent India in the 4th Women's Asian Champion Trophy to be held in Singapore from October 29 to November 5 featuring teams of China, Japan, Korea and Malaysia along with India,
She was part of Indian team[8] that won Gold Medal[9] in Asian Championship Trophy in 2016 in Singapore[10]. She has represented teams of Haryana[11][12], Punjab, Himachal[13][14][15] and Madhya Pradesh at National Level tournaments. She currently represents Central Secretariat[16] Team at National Level[17]
She has represented Indian women hockey team at senior and junior level. She is currently working as Senior Tax Assistant in Income Tax Department, Government of India. She performed the role of team manager[18] in a successful campaign of team CBDT (Central Board of Direct Taxes) in 4th Hockey India Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship 2024. CBDT team won bronze medal by defeating Sports Authority of India (SAI) 3-2 in penalty shootouts after the match ended in a tie[19].
She was also winner of 4th Hockey India junior women’s national championship 2013, while playing from Haryana Team[20]
