Mehedi Hasan Limon (Bengali: মেহেদী হাসান লিমন; born 20 January 1995 in Cumilla) is a Bangladeshi lyricist and screenwriter known for his exceptional contribution to the music industry. He has penned over 200 released songs, earning recognition for his lyrical creativity.
Early life
editLimon was born on 20 January in Chandina, Cumilla, Bangladesh. His father, Mofijul Islam Sarker, and mother, Shamsunnahar Begum, raised him alongside his three siblings. He began his early education at Etoberpur Government Primary School. Limon completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) at Tamirul Millat Kamil Madrasha, Dhaka, followed by his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) at Birshrestha Noor Mohammad Public College, Dhaka. He later earned an Honor’s degree and BBA from Dhaka College
Career
editLimon’s passion for songwriting emerged during his school years, specifically when he was in class 10. His debut release was the album "Kichu Proshno" by A.N. Sumon, featuring music tuned and composed by Pritom Hasan. Many of his lyrics have been voiced by some of the most renowned artists across generations, reflecting his versatility and appeal. Limon's ability to craft songs that resonate with listeners across genres has cemented his reputation as one of the most talented lyricists of his generation. His works, embraced by both new and veteran musicians, continue to inspire and captivate audiences.
