1965
edit- November 9: The power goes out in Ontario at 5:15 PM ET. At 5:27 PM ET, the lights sputtering near Canada. At 5:30 PM ET, the power outage in New York City was started outside of Canada. At 11:00 PM ET, parts of Brooklyn repowered.
- November 10: The normal power supply was confirmed after the power outage of 1965 at 7:00 PM ET.
1977
edit- July 13: The power goes out outside of Canada, at 8:34 PM EDT, it caused damage to power, at 8:45 PM EDT, it caused multiple strikes in New York City.
- 9:08 PM EDT: Con Edison began shredding load, a reduction of 5 percent and another one at 8 percent.
- 9:19 PM EDT: The 345kv conductors get heated.
- 9:22 PM EDT: In Long Island, the 345kv interconnection in New York is tripped.
- 9:24 PM EDT: Con Edison cannot shred the load.
- 9:29 PM EDT: The 230kv interconnection gets tripped in New Jersey.
- 9:37 PM EDT: Con Edison's power shut down in New York and New Jersey.
- 10:26 PM EDT: The power partially restored, and 12 hours later, the power restored.
- July 14
- 1:45 PM EDT: The power restored half of Con Edison's power lines.
