Draft:Kilvington Hall

Kilvington Hall is a Georgian country house close to Thirsk, North Yorkshire. The current owner is Steven Holland.

The house was acquired by the current owner reference land registry NYK 251722 in 2007 where its was not in its best condition and the plan to bring the house back to its former glory began

Developments over the years have the reconstruction of a vinery once on place and as seen by a photograph in the early 1900's as part of 'The Stevens ' collection of Photographs of locally important buildings

Additional the formal gardens were reinvested and significant development of the Rose Garden took place to bring it back to a quality and Grandeur it would have enjoyed in previous years

building permission was given to add an orangery to the main house which in part replaced some of the reception room space lost in a fire in the late 1970's which saw about a 20% of the house destroyed

from its original 1835 construction

Today the house remains a loved location and constantly updates and maintained , we have also being working hard to repopulate birds , Hedge hogs and other wild animals by careful planting and provision of Habitat in the woodland adjacent to the house

There remains a close co operation with local farming and grazing of sheep in the land owned by the house [1] [2]
