Julieta Pareja (born February 18, 2009) is an American professional tennis player. She has a career-high ITF junior combined ranking of No. 104, achieved on July 29, 2024.
Early life
editPareja was born in Carlsbad, California, to father Pablo and mother Adriana.[1][2] She is of Colombian descent; her father is a first-generation American who was born to a Colombian immigrant father, while her mother is originally from Bogotá.[3] Her older sisters, Raquel and Antonia, are also tennis players.[4]
Junior career
editIn July 2024, she won back-to-back titles at the J100 Copa Ciudad in Medellín[5][6] and the J200 Copa Liga de Tenis de Bogotá.[7]
Professional career
editIn June 2024, she won her first professional title at the $15k SoCal Pro Series event in Rancho Santa Fe.[8][9] That August, she received a wildcard into the qualifying competition of the US Open.[10]
