Early life
editIrfan Attari was born in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. He completed his undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Kashmir and later pursued a Master’s degree in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His early interest in the political dynamics of his homeland shaped his career trajectory.
Career
editAttari began his journalism career with a local newspaper, "The Kashmir Herald," where he covered regional issues and political unrest. He gained prominence with his investigative reports on cross-border tensions and human rights issues in Kashmir.
In 2020, Attari published his debut book, Between Borders: The Political and Social Realities of Kashmir, which explores the complex political landscape and social fabric of the region. The book has been praised for its depth of research and engaging narrative.
